Defining LovE

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

So... what is Love to you, when the world is at war; when there are more marriages ending in divorce than marriages lasting "forever"; when the duty of parenthood becomes a burden instead of joy; when people are killing their own people on streets with no name; when all I hear are the problems girls have with their man, and the problems guys have with their woman; when the government is more concerned about its' own pride than the freedom of people; etc...?

Is this love? Can love exist in these conditions? Whatever happened to romance? If a guy serenades a woman from under her window, it's no longer considered romantic, nowadays, it's called "stalking".

The idea of love has become a joke. Why even get married, if divorce is such an easy way out? I thought marriage was a sacred union between two people, bounded together by God. Afterall, isn't that why most marriages take place in a church? Yet, the idea of marriage is taken for granted.

So now, what has happened to the foundation of love? And if it still does exist, how are you sharing your love with others?
